Nukutepipi, July 16, 2019. – After several years of exploration, followed by construction with the greatest respect for fauna and flora, the private atoll of Nukutepipi, in French Polynesia, is now ready to be inaugurated and to welcome its first visitors. Housed in the endless blue of the ocean and framed by beaches of pristine white sand, this island embodies paradise and invites relaxation.
“Nukutepipi is a place of rest, inspiration and discovery for the senses. Appreciating and preserving local flora and fauna is the essence of this seaside resort project, as is the desire to pay tribute to the Polynesian cultural traditions to which the island belongs “, explains Guy Laliberté, founder of Cirque du Soleil, the One Drop Foundation and Lune Rouge.
Nukutepipi is a stunning island of beauty, as well as a natural sanctuary in which many species live in harmony. Preserving and cherishing the ecosystem of this exceptional atoll is a priority and several initiatives aimed at food self-sufficiency have been instated in recent years.
The island is home to many sports facilities (tennis, volleyball, fare yoga, gym, etc.) in addition to a spa, a games room and a cinema. It is also possible to practice a wide range of water activities. In addition to its guests, Nukutepipi also hosts artwork from the Lune Rouge Collection, including internationally acclaimed artists such as Wim Delvoye, Jim Dine and Damien Hirst. Canvas on bark cloth, tikis or bas-reliefs: the chosen pieces all pay homage to the richness of the Polynesian culture.

The environmental footprint left by the tourism sector is very important and has irreversible consequences for the planet.
It is therefore essential to make industry companies aware of the importance of protecting the environment.
We can happily note that hotels are becoming increasingly involved in eco-friendly approaches.
Aware of the various issues, South Pacific Management Group attaches great importance to the adoption of a sustainable development policy.
The group has decided to accompany Manava Suite Resort Tahiti and Manava Beach Resort & Spa Moorea in their environmental initiatives.
According to Jean-Marc Vermorel, Director of Operations: “The certification will help our hotels to find new solutions to be even more eco-responsible. ” In its sustainable development approach, South Pacific Management has chosen EarthCheck certification, an environmental benchmarking and certification system for the tourism sector. This certification, created in Australia in 2009, allows companies to evaluate the impact of their activities on the environment, and to encourage them to improve their economic, social and sustainable performance.
This certification is recognized worldwide because it has more than 1,200 tourism organizations in more than 65 countries.
Manava Hotels Undergoing EarthCheck Certification …
The hotels Manava Suite Resort Tahiti and Manava Beach Resort & Spa Moorea are thus in the process of transitioning to an environmental policy in order to obtain the EarthCheck label and guarantee their customers their commitment to sustainable development. As a result, hotels are putting in place measures to monitor the environmental impact of their activities (use of resources, waste production, engagement with local communities, etc.).
South Pacific Management: a player committed to sustainable development
South Pacific Management is committed in 2019 to an international environmental certification program called EarthCheck. The banner aims to certify the two Manava hotels by 2020. The group is also ready to support any other establishment, locally or internationally, in environmental certification projects.

Is staying in an overwater bungalow in Tahiti on your bucket list? Make the trip truly authentic by including a three-day yacht cruise in this nation of islands to your resort stay. Follow the routes of the ancient Polynesians who rode the surf with ease on the 12-cabin yacht, the Haumana. It’s the antidote to winter blues and to the idea of a large ship with a foreign crew pulling up to different ports of call. The Tahitian crew will share with you their love of their islands — as well as its music and crafts — while the chef and his culinary team prepare sophisticated cuisine to complete this feast for the senses.
While on this comfortable, barefoot style cruise, explore Taha’a and Raiatea, with its velvet green hills and a cloud-capped peak, and learn why it is the most sacred island in the archipelago; the homeland of ancient Polynesians and set sail as they did to explore the South Seas. See first-hand why author James Michener called Bora Bora’s “the most beautiful lagoon in the world” and why this coral reef fringed set of islets is a bucket list luxury destination for travelers the world over.
With rates starting at Euros 1,500 per person, the trip includes: three nights; all meals and a selection of complementary wines; a half-day excursion to Taha’a, the Vanilla Island; and activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, a barbeque on a motu and other aquatic & cultural experiences.
“Bookend” your cruise with stays at the Manava Suite Resort Tahiti – with domestic flights available from Tahiti Faaa Airport to Raiatea or Bora Bora to meet the yacht for embarkment – and then unwind after the cruise at SPM’s lovely Manava Beach Resort & Spa on Moorea.
There is simply no better way to get to know Tahitian island life than by truly “over” water!
