POLYNESIAN WEDDING CEREMONIES

The "MATAIREA" wedding ceremony

You will not find a more enchanting place than the Te Tiare Beach Resort in Huahine to proclaim your love to your chosen one. This “Matairea” wedding ceremony takes place at sunset, as you and your beloved one are draped in traditional white Polynesian clothes (sarongs) and adorned with fresh flowers. You will be welcomed by the sound of a « Pu » (shell) and traditional rythms & songs of Polynesia… the master of ceremony will next bestow a Polynesian name on each of you and the vows will be exchanged. The emotionally moving and sensual dance of love is the grand finale to this ceremony.Awaiting you in your bungalow is a fruits basket and a bottle of champagne, your wedding certificate and two bathrobes, compliments of the Te Tiare Beach Resort. Duration of the ceremony: 1 hour.

The "TOPA MAHANA" wedding ceremony

Same content than in the “Matairea” wedding ceremony, then you will be draped into a « tifaifai », a local patchwork quilt that symbolizes unity, before being escorted to your bungalow listening to the sound of drums. You will then have time to admire a colourful sunset from your terrace as you are sipping a tropical cocktail and before being served a private starlight dinner for two including a bottle of wine, to complete this exceptional experience. Duration of the ceremony: 1 hour.
